Our client is seeking a strategic, detail-oriented Finance Manager to join its leadership team and play a key role in driving its financial success.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring sound financial management, regulatory compliance, accurate financial reporting, and strategic financial planning while supporting the  overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in line with IFRS and applicable regulatory requirements, including FIRS, CBN, SEC, and other relevant authorities where applicable.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process, monitor budget performance, conduct variance analysis, and recommend corrective actions to improve efficiency and profitability.
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, banking relationships, payment schedules, and liquidity planning to ensure smooth business operations.
  • Develop and maintain strong financial controls, identify financial risks, support audit processes, and implement measures to safeguard company assets and prevent financial leakages.
  • Ensure timely filing and remittance of statutory deductions, taxes, audit requirements, and other financial obligations in accordance with Nigerian laws and company policies.
  • Provide financial insights, investment analysis, management reports, and recommendations to guide business planning, expansion decisions, and performance improvement.
  •  Supervise, coach, and develop finance team members while promoting accountability, confidentiality, professionalism, and a high-performance culture.

Person Specification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Professional certification e.g., ACA, ACCA.
  • Minimum of 5–10 years of experience in Finance, internal control, audit, or compliance. 
  • Experience in Banking or Finance is a plus. 
  • Strong knowledge of financial management, risk assessment, and investment strategies.
  • Expertise in financial regulations, compliance, and corporate governance.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools.
  • MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is an added advantage.
