FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION MANAGER
Location: Harare, Zimbabwe
Reporting To: General Manager

ABOUT US
The National Handicraft Centre (NHC) is dedicated to preserving, developing, and globally marketing authentic Zimbabwean handicrafts and cultural heritage. As we modernise operations, expand our digital footprint, and champion economic empowerment for grassroots artisans nationwide, we seek a highly analytical, strategic, and hands-on professional to join our executive team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Management & Corporate Governance
Formulate and monitor financial policies, internal controls, and accounting procedures aligned with Zimbabwean statutory frameworks.
Oversee preparation of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for management and Board presentation.
Lead budgeting, variance analysis, and cost-containment strategies for optimal resource allocation.
Coordinate internal and external audit processes, ensuring resolution of identified vulnerabilities.

Administrative & Human Resources Oversight
Supervise day-to-day administrative functions, procurement practices, asset management, facilities, logistics, and vendor contracts.

Strategic Support & Stakeholder Engagement
Provide financial insights, feasibility analyses, and risk assessments for artisan training, exhibitions, and export marketing initiatives.
Collaborate with partners to facilitate financial literacy workshops for creative industry practitioners.
Support the General Manager in compiling reports for ministries, statutory boards, and development partners.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & ATTRIBUTES
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Professional qualification (CA, ACCA, CIMA, CIS) highly desirable.
Experience
Minimum 3-5 years progressive finance and administration management experience, preferably in a public enterprise, statutory body, or established NGO.

Technical Skills
Proficiency in modern ERP and accounting packages. Familiarity with Public Finance Management (PFM) regulations in Zimbabwe is an added advantage.

Competencies
Outstanding leadership, impeccable integrity, and adaptable communication style for ministerial briefings and grassroots artisan engagement.
