Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle accounting including bookkeeping, reconciliations, and monthly closing processes.
  • Process monthly payroll and ensure compliance with statutory deductions and filings.
  • Prepare and file VAT returns in line with applicable tax regulations KRA iTax.
  • Maintain accurate financial records including invoices, receipts, expenses, and supplier transactions.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, including reconciliations and payment tracking.
  • Maintain accounting data in the primary accounting system.
  • Support preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports.
  • Handle general administrative duties including documentation, filing, and records management.

Key Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience in accounting or finance roles.
  • CPA Part II or ACCA Level 2 minimum CPA finalist or qualified preferred.
  • Strong experience in payroll processing and VAT filing KRA iTax required.
  • Proven proficiency in accounting software non-negotiable.
  • Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting and financial controls.
  • High attention to detail and strong numerical accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in SME, professional services, or creative/design environments is an added advantage.
