Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment
• Diagnose electrical faults and implement effective repair solutions
• Perform preventative maintenance to minimise equipment downtime
• Inspect electrical installations to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
• Test electrical circuits, motors and control systems to verify safe operation
• Maintain DB boards, lighting systems and facility wiring
• Complete maintenance documentation and service records accurately
• Ensure all work is completed in line with health, safety and quality standards
• Assist with general plant maintenance and be available for breakdown call-outs when required

• National Trade Certificate (Electrician) / N6 Electrical or equivalent
• 7–10 years' experience in industrial electrical maintenance
• Valid Wireman's Licence (Installation Electrician)
• Experience working on high-voltage systems up to 11kV and 6.6kV
• Sound knowledge of SANS 10142 and electrical compliance requirements
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
• Experience fault-finding on 220V/400V motors and electrical systems
• Exposure to VSDs/VFDs and refrigeration plant electrical systems advantageous
• Strong problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
• Computer literate and willing to work overtime or attend emergency call-outs when required
