Electrical Maintenance Superintendent

? Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment, machinery, and plant systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults to restore operations quickly.
• Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of new electrical systems and upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and company policies.
• Collaborate with mechanical, production, and engineering teams to optimize plant performance.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
• Lead root cause analysis and implement long-term solutions to recurring issues.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.

• Bachelor’s degree or National Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• GCC registration (advantageous).
• 5+ years’ experience in electrical maintenance within heavy manufacturing, mining, or industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of PLCs, motor control systems, HV/LV distribution, and automation.
• Familiarity with safety standards (OHS Act, SANS codes) and maintenance best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
