Key Responsibilities

• Technical Design & Engineering: Develop detailed electrical and electronic system designs for large-scale projects, including site assessments, load calculations, circuit layouts, and component selection

. • System Integration & Efficiency: Apply advanced engineering principles to solve complex challenges related to power distribution, energy efficiency, hardware-software integration, and control systems.

• Project & Operations Management: Oversee the operational and installation phases of engineering projects, ensuring all systems function optimally through data analysis, troubleshooting, and continuous performance upgrades.

• Compliance & Documentation:

• Prepare, review, and submit all necessary technical documentation and permits to ensure strict compliance with national and international engineering standards, building codes, and regulatory guidelines.

• Risk & Cost Management: Identify potential project exclusions, limitations, or technical risks; provide effective mitigation strategies and contribute to financial modeling, cost analysis, and budgeting for active projects.

• Stakeholder Communication: Act as a technical liaison to clearly convey complex engineering concepts, project timelines, and performance metrics to internal teams, clients, and contractors.


Required Qualifications

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related engineering field. A Master’s degree or professional specialization is an added advantage.

• Professional Registration: Must be a registered member with a valid practicing license from the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK).

• Professional Experience: At least 3 years and above of progressive experience in the electrical and electronic engineering field, with a proven track record in project management and system design.

• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in modern engineering and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, MATLAB, or specialized electrical modeling tools) alongside deep knowledge of national grid codes and international electrotechnical standards.
