Who we're looking for:

• Matric / Grade 12
• Qualified Diesel Mechanic (trade tested — essential)
• Minimum 5 years' post-trade experience on TMM (Trackless Mobile Machinery)
• Experience on GHH Mining Machines advantageous
• Valid driver's licence
• Willingness and ability to travel

What you'll be doing:

• Performing planned maintenance (services and improvements) on GHH Mining Machines
• Diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing diesel engines, fuel systems, hydraulics, transmissions, and drivetrains
• Conducting vehicle inspections and recording findings on inspection reports
• Assisting with breakdown maintenance on surface when required
• Proactively arranging and requesting spares to minimise downtime
• Performing welding and fabrication as needed
• Ensuring full compliance with mine safety rules, procedures, and regulations
• Attending and contributing to safety talks and toolbox sessions
• Identifying training needs on site and mentoring junior team members
