Job Details

Purpose   

  • Provide technical support for end-user computing services by installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting desktop hardware, software, and peripheral devices. 
  • Resolve incidents and service requests promptly to minimize downtime, maximize user productivity, and deliver Excellent Customer Service. 

The Job  

  • Resolve IT incidents and service requests promptly to minimize downtime and ensure the availability of end-user IT services. 
  • Install, configure, deploy, and maintain desktop hardware, software, operating systems, and peripheral devices in line with IT standards. 
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and operating system issues, providing advanced technical and desk-side support where required. 
  • Perform preventive maintenance, including system upgrades, software releases, security patches, and hotfix deployments to maintain endpoint reliability. 
  • Ensure all support activities comply with agreed Service Level Agreements SLAs, IT policies, and operational procedures while maintaining accurate technical documentation. 
  • Collaborate with IT teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to drive service improvements, implement technology enhancements, and deliver a high level of customer satisfaction. 

Qualification 

  • OND or equivalent in Computer Science/Engineering or any related discipline 
  • Microsoft certification is a requirement.
  • IITL Foundation training and/or certification is an advantage.

Experience:  

  • Minimum one year relevant experience, preferably in a medium sized manufacturing organization. 

The Person Must: 

  • Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Strong knowledge of Windows desktop operating systems and Microsoft 365. 
  • Good analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Knowledge of ITIL service management principles is an added advantage.
