Data Entry Officer

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately input, update, and maintain data related to construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment usage, and costs
  • Manage and organize project documentation such as invoices, purchase orders, delivery notes, and contracts
  • Maintain databases for project tracking, budgets, and timelines
  • Verify data for accuracy and completeness before entry into systems
  • Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reports for project managers and senior management
  • Track inventory records and update stock movement data
  • Support procurement and finance teams with data entry and reconciliation tasks
  • Ensure proper filing (digital and physical) of all project-related documents
  • Retrieve and provide data when requested by supervisors or auditors
  • Identify and correct data discrepancies or errors promptly
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive company information
  • Collaborate with site engineers, quantity surveyors, and administrative staff to collect required data


Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Information Management, or a related field
  • 3–5 years of proven experience in data entry, preferably in construction, engineering, or a related industry
  • High typing speed with excellent accuracy
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Familiarity with construction management software or ERP systems is an advantage
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage large volumes of data efficiently
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with project management tools (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, or similar)
  • Basic understanding of construction terminology and processes
  • Knowledge of document control systems
