Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain condition monitoring strategies for rotating and static equipment.
Perform vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasound inspections, oil analysis, and other predictive maintenance activities.
Analyse equipment health data and provide recommendations to prevent failures and optimise maintenance schedules.
Investigate recurring equipment failures using Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA).
Produce detailed technical reports, trend analyses, and maintenance recommendations.
Support Reliability-Centred Maintenance (RCM) and predictive maintenance initiatives.
Work closely with maintenance and production teams to improve plant availability and reliability.
Develop asset criticality assessments and equipment monitoring plans.
Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and maintenance best practices.
Assist with shutdown planning, equipment inspections, and commissioning activities.
Maintain condition monitoring databases and ensure accurate documentation.
Provide technical guidance and training to maintenance personnel on predictive maintenance techniques.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing downtime and maintenance costs.
Minimum Requirements
BEng/BSc/BTech in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in condition monitoring, reliability engineering, or predictive maintenance within a manufacturing, mining, power generation, heavy industrial, or processing environment.
Strong understanding of rotating equipment including motors, pumps, gearboxes, compressors, fans, conveyors, turbines, and bearings.
Experience with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as SAP PM, Pragma, IBM Maximo, or similar.
Knowledge of predictive maintenance technologies and asset reliability principles.
Preferred Qualifications
ISO Category I, II, or III Vibration Analysis Certification.
Infrared Thermography Certification.
Machinery Lubrication Technician (MLT) or Oil Analysis Certification.
Reliability-Centred Maintenance (RCM) or Asset Management certification.
Experience with online condition monitoring systems and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) technologies.
