Code 14 Cross-Border Driver (Manual Transmission)

Minimum Requirements

• Valid Code 14 (EC) driver's licence.
• Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP).
• Valid Passport.
• Minimum 5 years' experience driving heavy-duty manual transmission trucks.
• Proven cross-border driving experience within Southern Africa.
• Good knowledge of SADC cross-border routes and border procedures.
• Ability to read and complete transport documentation.
• Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge.

• Namibia
• Zimbabwe
• Zambia
• Mozambique
• Lesotho
• Eswatini

Key Responsibilities

• Operate Code 14 heavy-duty trucks with manual gearboxes.
• Transport cargo safely to designated destinations across borders.
• Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Ensure all cargo is loaded, secured, and transported according to safety standards.
• Maintain accurate trip records, logbooks, fuel records, and delivery documentation.
• Comply with customs, immigration, and border control procedures.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, delays, or incidents promptly.
• Monitor vehicle performance and arrange maintenance when required.
• Adhere to driving hours and rest period regulations.
• Maintain a professional relationship with clients, customs officials, and company representatives.

Working Conditions

• Long-distance and overnight travel.
• Cross-border operations.
• Weekend, public holiday, and shift work as required.
