Our client, a leading force in the retail industry, is seeking an accomplished Chief Operating Officer to steer their strategic initiatives, operational excellence, and organisational development during a pivotal phase of expansion.

Duties:

• Develop and implement a clear vision and long-term strategy aligned with the company’s values and growth objectives

• Manage diversification, expansion, and modernisation initiatives

• Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and profitability

• Collaborate with the financial team to manage budgets and financial planning for sustainable growth

• Drive cost optimisation while investing in innovation

• Foster a culture of integrity, collaboration, and high performance

• Promote talent development, diversity, and employee engagement

• Build leadership pipelines and succession plans for key roles

• Lead and develop senior management teams

• Oversee workforce planning and organisational structure

Requirements:

• Proven track record of strategic leadership in similar roles within the retail industry

• At least 10-15 years of senior management experience

• Strong financial management and strategic planning skills

• Expertise in business development, change management, and operational excellence

• Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building abilities

• Ability to lead, mentor, and develop multi-disciplinary teams

Nice to Have:

• Experience in managing large-scale organisational change and growth initiatives

• Knowledge of contemporary retail market dynamics
