JOB SUMMARY

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) serves as a strategic business partner to the CEO/DCEO and executive leadership, driving the financial vision and fiscal health of OVID Construction. Operating within a high-growth environment characterized by multiple mega housing projects and a high financial turnover, the CFO is responsible for total financial stewardship, capital allocation, complex treasury management, and risk mitigation. This role bridges long-term enterprise strategy with rigorous financial execution, ensuring that our mega-scale developments remain robustly funded, highly profitable, and fully compliant with all regulatory standards.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Formulate and execute comprehensive financial strategies, capital structures, and funding models to support OVID Construction's massive portfolio of mega housing projects and high-turnover operations.

• Lead enterprise-wide annual budgeting, long-term financial forecasting, and sophisticated variance analysis to optimize project costs and enhance profitability.

• Oversee large-scale treasury operations, liquidity management, banking relations, and project financing structures to ensure seamless cash flow across multiple simultaneous construction sites.

• Establish, monitor, and strengthen robust financial risk management frameworks, internal controls, and governance structures to safeguard company assets against industry-specific financial volatilities.

• Direct financial accounting, statutory reporting, and asset management systems to ensure absolute accuracy and transparency of all financial records.

• Ensure full compliance with Ethiopian tax laws, VAT, pension requirements, customs regulations, and other statutory obligations across all high-turnover business units.

• Provide executive leadership, the Board of Directors, and project stakeholders with data-driven insights, feasibility studies, and strategic advisory on large capital investments.

• Mentor and lead the finance and accounting teams, building high-performing units capable of managing complex financial lifecycles in the construction and real estate sector.
