Responsible for general operation and maintenance of Boiler operation
Work includes sampling and testing of raw and soft water, equipment inspection, recording of readings, chemical preparation and performing cleaning of tools, equipment, and maintain good housekeeping in boiler house
Monitor and maintain efficiency of boiler plant operating equipment to meet load demands and maintain efficient levels of combustion
Control boiler operations including level, pressure, flowrate, volume, temperature of water, steam production, chemical and fuel consumption
Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of boiler and other equipment, addressing potential issues proactively.
Maintain hourly and accurate logs, readings, records and reports of equipment in operation, maintenance activities, and compliance checks, water quality, flowmeters, detectors, gauges, water level and other indicators.
Perform all aspects of sampling, monitoring and basic lab testing including pH, TDS concentration, soft water analysis tests required at various sampling points in the plant process to make sure that the processes are working smoothly
Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, charts, readings, records, flowmeters, gauges, and other indicators to determine operating efficiency of equipment.
Respond to collected data and do adjustments to optimize the equipment (such as water feed regulators, valves, pumps, thermostats, electrodes, etc)
Conduct routine safety checks and inspections, ensuring compliance with all safety protocols and regulatory requirements, including environmental standards.
Carry out for maintenance tasks as required
Carry out weekly Stack Cleaning.
Perform additional duties as requested
Removing or isolating equipment downed systems and keep the process of the boiler online for maintenance and repair.
Comply with all EHS (Environment, health and safety) procedures, SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) and work process such as Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO Procedure, Permit to Work (PTW) Procedure, Work at Height (WAH) Procedure, Confined Space CS) Procedure, Hot Work (HW) Procedure, etc.
Collaborate with maintenance team to troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions.
Communicate with supervisor and coworkers regarding operations, plant conditions and other essential information.
Responsible for good housekeeping of boiler, other equipment, tools, boiler house and control room, cupboards, individual locker cabinet and kept in good order
Perform safe work practices and report any safety issues to supervisor and/or safety coordinator
Assist contractors for preventive maintenance, mechanical and electrical work on equipment in boiler house
May assist in training other operators.
