The University is hereby inviting applications from the public for the under listed Position.

POSITION: ASSISTANT REGISTRAR – COUNCIL (01) – ADS / PTS 01

JOB PURPOSE: To contribute towards the Corporate Secretarial function in the University

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Organizing Council meetings, recording minutes, and tracking resolutions.
  • Prepare Council and Committee meeting agenda, record proceedings, and compile accurate minutes.
  • Maintain and regularly update the directory and records of Council and Committee members.
  • Oversee travel and logistical arrangements for Council and Committee members to ensure smooth conduct of meetings.
  • Ensure proper record management of correspondence, and documentation related to Council and Committee operations.
  • Monitor policy implementation and ensure proper record management of approved policies and procedures.
  • Perform any other related duties as directed by supervisor in support of effective governance and administration.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • A Grade 12 School Certificate with at least five (05) credits or better that must include English Language and Mathematics
  • An earned Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Public Administration, Law, Business Administration or any related field from a reputable and accredited University
  • At least two (02) years’ work experience in a similar or equivalent role
  • Wide experience in Board Management
  • Conversant with the Zambian labour laws
  • Good interpersonal and managerial skills
  • Leadership skills
  • Good analytical report writing and presentation skills
  • Functional computer skills
  • Innovative, team player with high level of energy drive and initiative
  • Emotionally stable
  • A fully paid up member of the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management with a valid practicing licence
