Our client in the steel manufacturing industry is seeking an experienced Assistant Purchasing Manager to join their Procurement and Supply Chain team.

Diploma in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement, or related field Minimum 5 years' procurement/purchasing experience Minimum 2 years' supervisory or senior buyer experience Experience in steel manufacturing, engineering, mining, or heavy industrial environments advantageous Strong negotiation, supplier management, and procurement planning skills ERP systems experience (SAP, Syspro, Sage, Oracle, etc.)

Key responsibilities include: Procurement and sourcing of materials, spares, equipment, and services Supplier relationship and contract management Inventory planning and stock availability support Cost-saving initiatives and budget control Procurement compliance, reporting, and team support
