Responsibilities:

  • Provide additional academic and behavioral support to pupils identified as needing extra help.
  • Work closely with class teachers to design and implement individualized learning plans.
  • Support pupils during classroom activities, helping them stay focused and engaged.
  • Adapt teaching materials to suit each child’s learning pace and ability.
  • Monitor and record progress, reporting to the head teacher.
  • Encourage confidence, independence, and positive behavior in pupils.
  • Communicate regularly with teachers and parents regarding pupil progress.
  • Participate in professional development and school training programs.


Requirements: 

  • Minimum of NCE, or Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education, Education Psychology, Primary Education or a related field. 
  • Minimum of 1–2 years’ experience working with children who need additional learning or behavioral support.
  • Familiarity with Montessori methods and inclusive teaching strategies is an advantage.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers and support staff.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent observation and record-keeping abilities

  • Ability to motivate and encourage children positively
  • Good organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Team-oriented, calm, and professional demeanor.
