Key Responsibilities
- Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, filing documents for easy retrieval and audit purposes.
- Bank Reconciliations: Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
- Member savings ledgers: Updating and reconciling members’ savings ledgers.
- Petty Cash Management: Handle petty cash requests and reconcile petty cash accounts regularly.
- Promote co-operative philosophy with members.
- Tax Returns: Assist in preparing PAYE returns, ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations.
- General Administrative Duties: Perform other general finance-related administrative tasks, such as answering finance queries, managing correspondence, and supporting the wider finance team.
Requirements
- A minimum of a Diploma in Accounting and Business Studies or Association of Accounting Technician level 4 (AAT).
- Training on Savings and Credit Co-operative Management will be an added advantage.
- At least three (3) years post qualification experience in an equivalent position.
- Computer literacy
- Strong analytical skills
