About the Role
Our client an FMCG company is seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Accountant. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, treasury, taxation, auditing, and operational finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all accounting and finance functions, including monthly management reports MIS, weekly/monthly cash flow projections, and financial analysis.
- Prepare annual budgets, variance analysis reports, and project financial reports.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
- Develop financial strategies, risk mitigation plans, and financial forecasts to support business growth.
- Drive cost optimization initiatives while ensuring operational efficiency and adherence to reporting deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory, and tax obligations.
- Oversee fixed asset management and maintain an accurate fixed asset register.
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely collections and payments.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including financial institutions and regulatory bodies.
- Monitor capital expenditure against approved budgets and management authorizations.
- Oversee finance systems and recommend process improvements where necessary.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, accounting standards, and applicable legislation.
- Manage loan schedules and coordinate funding for loan repayments.
- Analyse bank interest charges and reconcile variances with bank statements.
- Monitor debtors, inventory, and overdue accounts, implementing appropriate recovery actions.
- Manage import and export financial documentation, including M-Form processing, NXP documentation, payment reconciliation, and related transactions.
- Perform any other finance-related responsibilities assigned by management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- ICAN certification is mandatory.
- Minimum of 10 years' accounting and finance experience, preferably within FMCG, manufacturing, or a similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, treasury, auditing, and cost control.
- Excellent analytical, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
