About the Role

Our client an FMCG company is seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Accountant. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, treasury, taxation, auditing, and operational finance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all accounting and finance functions, including monthly management reports MIS, weekly/monthly cash flow projections, and financial analysis. 
  • Prepare annual budgets, variance analysis reports, and project financial reports. 
  • Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings. 
  • Develop financial strategies, risk mitigation plans, and financial forecasts to support business growth. 
  • Drive cost optimization initiatives while ensuring operational efficiency and adherence to reporting deadlines. 
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory, and tax obligations. 
  • Oversee fixed asset management and maintain an accurate fixed asset register. 
  • Monitor accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely collections and payments. 
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including financial institutions and regulatory bodies. 
  • Monitor capital expenditure against approved budgets and management authorizations. 
  • Oversee finance systems and recommend process improvements where necessary. 
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, accounting standards, and applicable legislation. 
  • Manage loan schedules and coordinate funding for loan repayments. 
  • Analyse bank interest charges and reconcile variances with bank statements. 
  • Monitor debtors, inventory, and overdue accounts, implementing appropriate recovery actions. 
  • Manage import and export financial documentation, including M-Form processing, NXP documentation, payment reconciliation, and related transactions. 
  • Perform any other finance-related responsibilities assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • ICAN certification is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 10 years' accounting and finance experience, preferably within FMCG, manufacturing, or a similar industry.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, treasury, auditing, and cost control.
  • Excellent analytical, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
