Who We Are?

Cheshire Ethiopia (CE) is a pioneer non-governmental Disability and Development organization registered as Local Civil Society Organization committed to the provision of rehabilitation services to PwDs in Ethiopia since 1962. CE has been re-registered and accorded legal personality with Registry Number 0505 on 12/07/2019 as local organization in accordance with the Civil Society Organization No. 1113/2019

Mission:

To realize disability inclusive society through rights-based affordable and standard rehabilitation services as well as empowerment of persons with disabilities and communities with health, educational, economic, social, and over all empowerment interventions’

Organizational Objective:

To contribute towards the attainment of socio-economic development targets of the country by enabling person with disability to equally participate as an integral member of the society.

Where we Work

CE provides comprehensive rehabilitation services to persons with disability and families in Amhara, Benishangul Gumuz, Harari, Oromia, SNNP, Sidama, and Somali Regions and the two City Administrations of Addis Ababa& Dire Dawa

What We Do

1.Center Based Services/Program ;- ( Menagesha Rehabilitation Center, Hawassa Rehabilitation Center, Diredawa Rehabilitation Center , Harar community based inclusive development and Addis Ababa Pediatric Rehabilitation Center )

2. Mobile Outreach Program;-  (deploy mobile outreach multidisciplinary teams to their respective areas of operation and create access to the most unreached parts of the country).

1. 3. Community Based Program :-(runs community based rehabilitation programs in different parts of the country where by health, education, social, livelihoods, and empowerment are the pillars of its interventions.
